According to the EYFS 2012 providers must ensure that the premises are fit for purpose. Furniture, equipment and toys must be cleaned and sterilised regularly.
We aim to keep our premises and equipment clean, and be aware of and comply with requirements of health and safety legislation and hygiene requirements. To adhere to this we have in place a Health and Safety policy and procedure and a Hygiene policy and procedure which all staff follow rigidly.
We have 1 cleaner who works week days during opening hours. We have cleaning rotas in operation which the cleaners follow closely to ensure all areas of the nursery are covered.
All staff are aware of health safety in and around the setting and clean up spills etc immediately to keep the area tidy and prevent any accidents or injuries from occurring.
